The Charlize Angel LaTonya Gilliam
Foundation, INC
THE BOARD
The Charlize Angel LaTonya Gilliam Scholarship Foundation, Inc. was established in 2020 by her loving mother and six of her mother's sorority sisters in celebration of her legacy. The foundation was created to honor a remarkable daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend, who lost her battle with lymphoma and leukemia cancers on May 23, 2020. The goal of the foundation is to provide scholarships to members of the community pursuing postsecondary education, who otherwise would not have the financial means to fulfill their educational goals. It is our hope to provide support to those in need, to begin or continue a higher level of education. The founding members of the foundation are Tonya Wilson (Charlize’s mother), June Wood, Tracy Lewis Hall, Sherri Small, Denisa Gilchrist, Jennifer Humes, and Gail Moody.
